Union Cabinet Approves Rs 5,911 Crore For Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan To Develop Governance Capabilities Of RLBs
Primary Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday (13 April) authorised a fiscal outlay of Rs 5,922 crore for the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) to create governance capabilities of Rural Regional Bodies.
The RGSA scheme will assistance extra than 2.78 lakh Rural Nearby Bodies (RLBs) such as conventional bodies across the region to produce governance abilities to deliver on Sustainable Advancement Aims (SDGs) as a result of inclusive regional governance with emphasis on ideal utilisation of readily available resources, an official release explained on Wednesday.
The full fiscal outlay of the scheme, which has now been prolonged till economic 12 months 2025-26, is Rs 5,911 crore with the Central Share of Rs 3,700 crore and that of State Share of Rs 2,211 crore, the release said.
